Cruising paradise and saving the planet? A guilt-free ride for a fully consumptive Maui vacation? The good folks over at Treehugger originally tipped me on eco-friendly car rentals on Maui a while back that run on veggie oil. Big caveat. The only refueling spot is in Kahului, which is not close to any of the major hotel districts in Wailea, Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili or Kapalua. Sigh., Guess you gotta start somewhere. Prices are a bit steep, too, at $49 per day.
