David Kuhn has effectively made himself Hawaii's soundman. With microphone in hand and recording gear slung over his shoulder, Kuhn wanders Hawaii recording the sounds of nature. Generously, he posts a good number of brief recordings for free download on his Website. The lovely bird call recordings are an extremely useful prep tool for anyone planning on birding in the islands. He sells some wonderful CDs that really capture the aural nature of some of the most interesting and beautiful places in Hawaii, the unspoiled forests of Kauai and the rainforests of Mauna Kea on the Big Island.
