A friend who works closely with some of the film production in the islands told me something very interesting the other day -- which has nothing to do with Hawaii except that it pertains to "Lost", the show filmed here that has garnered a fanatical following. And also to the fact that (sigh) you can't ever really get away from your past (particularly as a MacHead). Was told that "Lost" is running a third filming unit specifically formatted for Apple iPod! When I asked Disney about this, they referred me to an announcement that "Lost" and two other shows would also be filing two-minute minisodes for mobile devices. So I asked again, and my friend said, no, these are full-length. Which kinda matches what I've heard from many people I know flying to Hawaii who download the whole season of lost from iTunes for the flight to Hawaii! If the studios are actually creating a third format for iPod -- wow! Well, caveat emptor and all that -- this is nothing but a rumor. But....wow!
