So I know that far too many of you (estimated crowd: 15,000) are thinking about heading down to Waikiki to check out the open-air season premiere of teevee phenom "Lost" at 7 pm tonite at Kuhio Beach (map). Well, I'm here to save you a lot of hassle and heartache. First, DO NOT try to park in the Honolulu Zoo parking lot or anywhere near there. It will be futile and foolish. My sincere advice? Park in the lot on the far side of Kapiolani Park or even up in the Kapahulu area around Paki Street. Get there early and go grind the amazing Mexican eats at Mi Casa Taqueria, which serves up awesomely fresh island-caught fish tacos and, super tast, thick, hand-made corn tortillas. Then stroll over to the show, which should take you 10 minutes. Here's the route. If you want to partake a few drinks while you watch, the upstairs window seats at Lulu's should put you within earshot (and distant viewing range) of the screen. Enjoy and hope this helps. Note: This can also be a general guide to going to "Sunset on the Beach" movies.
