Hawaii Hotels: Mauna Lani Post-Quake Deal

Someone had to do it. The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows resort just whipped out a "Shaken, Not Stirred" promo deal, with tongue squarely in cheek. The posh resort, which suffered some minor damage from the Big Island quakes on October16, shut down several of its floors for several days. All the floors are open now and the Mauna Lani clearly has its good humor back, too. Is this really a deal? Unclear. You can get mountain view rooms at the hotel during that same time frame for $330 at Travelocity and Orbitz, according to TripAdvisor. The resort is also offering Oceanview room packages from $370. Here's the "Shaken, Not Stirred" details.
- Rooms from $390 / night
- Two Pineapple Martinis
- Daily buffet breakfast for two
- Daily use of snorkeling equipment
- Access to the Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club
- Nightly Hawaiian entertainment (free anyway, I think)
- Tours of Mauna Lani's historic fishponds and petroglyph fields (ditto)
- Cultural activities and much more! (not sure but think this is also gratis without package)
