We love Jimbo's as do a lot of other folks. It used to be our favorite place to get udon and other Japanese comfort foods. I was partial to the yakiudon with shrimp. But over the past six months the offerings have seemed to get greasier, the tempura batter clumpier and less crispy, and -- perhaps most distressing -- the restaurant dirtier. We went there last week and the carpet looked extremely dirty and felt sitcky underfoot. I'm all for hole-in-the-walls but they gotta be clean. We'll go back in six months and give it another try but for now, there's a Jimbo's moratorium in our family.
