Earthquake Update: Road to Hana to Reopen Dec. 1

According to the Maui County officials, a temporary replacement for the Paihi Bridge should be open by December 1, in time to allow Xmas season visitors to the Valley Isle to finish their Road to Hana journey with a dip in the Seven Sacred Pools or a waterfall hike on the Pipiwai Trail. WIth the bridge back up, the campgrounds at Kipahulu Area of Haleakala National Park will again be open. This campground sits atop a stretch of seacliffs within earshot of breaching whales and the crashing surf. It's a special place.
