Who doesn't like Vera Wang? Her designs are timeless, clean, and classy. Her color selection is subtle. The fabrics and materials she uses are sublime. I was in the Vera Wang Boutique at the plush Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki this weekend and was wowed by the lingerie selection, with some stunningly simple silk shifts in alabaster, black and forest green. Even better, the boutique is selling remnant cashmere vest and sweater designs from the Spring 2006 collection for a whopping 50% off the list price of $350 or so. Color and size selection is limited but you can't buy Vera Wang signature stuff off the rack anywhere else in the islands and in very few places on the Mainland, as well. Last note -- the shop is now doing custom stationery. So all you Crane's fiends, check it out -- this some primo paper.
