I'm generally opposed to semi-cheesy "slideshows" of a bunch of stills slapped together with some music patched over it. But this montage (some video, mostly still) really covers Poipu, Kauai very well, and, frankly, makes me want to go back. It's a killer place to hang out, despite the condomania that prevailed in the 1970s and 1980s and the resulting crowds. The Beach House in Poipu is one of my favorite places in all of Hawaii for evening cocktails. The beaches are divine and quite family friendly. I highly reccomend at least one stay there (preferably at the Hyatt or, if in a condo, the Poipu Kapili is quite nice).

Yay, Alex! So glad to hear you liked the Beach House too. We did have a great meal there and it coincided with the sun going down into the ocean. I have some great photos, but not on a digital camera, so I can’t send them out!
