New Quake: No Big Deal, Only 5.0

The Big Island got hit with an aftershock around 9 am this morning, Thanksgiving Day. We felt it over on Oahu but it was pretty much a little blip. From what I am hearing, there are no reports of additional damage and no evacuations have been required. The quake was centered off Waikoloa on the Big Island in the heart of the resort district. Just FYI, the Richter Scale is logarithmic so a 5.0 is many times less intense than a 6.0, which was the measurement of the smaller of the last two quakes. No tsunamis have been detected, either. In other words, a little shake and bake to go with that stuffing mix but nada mas. I'll keep you posted.
