NYT Travel Mag Does Oahu

Props to my good friend Lesa Griffith, who is also a lifestyle editor at the Honolulu Advertiser, for this solid piece in NYT Travel Mag covering Oahu. A good read for anyone coming to Oahu soon. One caveat -- I would caution folks thinking about Ko Olina Resort, not so much because it's not a good place, but more because it remains fairly isolated and cut off from the rest of Oahu in terms of interesting restaurants and things to do. The traffic from Ko Olina eastwards can be pretty heinous for big chunks of the morning. You do get very nice beaches that are quite uncrowded during the week and the man-made lagoons are beautiful. You are also close to one of best novice surfing beaches on Oahu, White Plains.
