I tend to wait until the last minute to do just about everything. Which is bad for things like booking reservations for holiday meals. However, I am certain there are many folks like me out there and booking a Thanksgiving Day meal is the last thing you want to do until Wednesday -- which is today, unfortunately. This year, we only are going to reccomend places on Oahu. Next year we'll expand out to other islands. My top pick is Alan Wong's on King Street (this is one of the rare instances where their blindingly fast service might be really good in order to ward off turkey paralysis). Who wouldn't want slow poached free range turkey breast, confit turkey leg, pipikaula Stuffing and truffle gravy? Is that legal? Or a serious pumpkin pie, with Hawaiian vanilla, sage ice cream, and glazed peacans? Links and picks below.
