The biggest light display in the islands is thrown up by the elves at Honolulu Hale, seat of the City and County of Honolulu. It's an impressive display including trains sets, a crech, a santa flashing a shaka sign, and, of course, a big, big decorated tree. Many of the large buildings downtown along Bishop Street are also bedecked in glittering arrangements. I am heading down tonite with the little ones for a looksee. Best viewed at night, of course. You can purchase commemorative ornaments (cheesy but fun) here. Traffic on weekends can be wicked so weeknights are def easier.
