Former Honolulu Adverttiser food reviewer and all around bon vivant Matthew Gray shifted from writing to tour guide a few years back when he opened his own foodie tour biz. I have not been on one of his sojourns around Honolulu but I understand they are entertaining at the very least. What's nice about the tours is it takes a lot of the hassles out of a foodie crawl -- namely, finding parking and fighting over who has to abstain and take the wheel on the way home. Considering that holiday fortifications in the liquid format do make meals taste oh so nice, Gray's current sale offers on his tours are timed perfectly. $59 for his "Hole-In-The'Wall" tour is a whopping $40 price reduction off the normal $100 tab. A smiliar price reduction off pricier offerings is also on offer. Sales run through Dec. 31, 2006.
