The Kalalau is one of the most storied hiking trails on Earth. In fact, the whole Na Pali Coast, along the western shore of Kauai, is recognized by the United Nations as a World Heritage site. The cliffs basically plummet 2,000 feet straight into the bluest ocean you can imagine. The coastline is cut with several steep, deep valleys which are, in turn, cut by waterfalls. A treacherous trail runs the length of the coast. Here's a quick clip of the views from part of that trail.
