Turtles are a sign of good luck in the Native Hawaiian culture, a potent aumakua (or animal sign). They are also beautiful to watch in their native habitats. Most snorkel spots around the islands give you a decent chance of watching one. This video shows a gorgeous Hawaiian grean sea turtle in aquatic flight. (The shooter keeps a respectful distance, thankfully).
