Pineapple%20Grill.jpgThis is a cool article from No Ka Oi Magazine on Maui that details a bit about an effort by Valley Isle restaurateurs to create sustainable seafood menus. Right on! This is particularly important due to the rapid declines among key endemic Hawaiian fish species, such as onaga and opakapaka. It also made me want to go eat at Pineapple Grill in Kapalua (one of their sustainable piscine edibles is pictured here). Major yum. The other participating restaurant right now is the Seacape at the Maui Ocean Center aquarium complex, You can download the seafood guide for easy printing via Pacific Whale Foundation. The information is applicable across all Hawaiian Islands as a useful guide to ordering sustainable fish.
