I normally try to keep this blog Hawaii-focused, emphasizing local arts, music, and food. But when the Dalai Lama comes to the islands, its kinda a big thing. The Tibetan Spiritual Leader will be on the Valley Isle on April 24 and 25 giving a select number of lectures and speeches. Tickets are going REALLY fast so buy them up from the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. If you can't get tix, then you should still come as late April and early May are fine shoulder seasons for Maui with plentiful hotel rooms and generally cheap plane fares.
