Tricks for Desperate Times -- The Glass Elevator in the Sheraton Waikiki
Where: Oahu || Grouped in: Oahu Kids || Tagged:
Waikiki on a rainy day with small children can be, well, a total frigging nightmare. Take away the beach, the ocean, the Honolulu Zoo and the park and there simply is not enough there for kids to do. You can buy them mounds of sugary stuff. Or you can take to the sky in the glass elevator which soars thirty stories from the lobby of the Sheraton Waikiki up to the Hanohano Room, a tony nightspot. THe ride is only a minute or so long but you can easily do it five times and keep the kids totally happy for probably a good half-hour if not more. Special treat? Have an early dinner at the top and then come down with the city lights blinking before you. Desperate times call for elevator tricks.
