Here's a roundup of cool blogs / articles on the festival, which is the World Series of Hula. Wanda Adams at the Honolulu Advertiser has some great information on the topic on her blog. The Advertiser also has done a really good special section on the event.. Here's a superb article in the Star-Bulletin covering a halau's trip to the Big Island and Kilauea Crater to pay homage to the hula heritage. Photo here is great. Here's Gary Chun with a profile of the new Miss Aloha Hula winner (kinda like the MVP of the World Series of Hula). There's also a solid post on the topic with images by my friend Leslie Lang who runs a nifty blog for Hamakua Springs, progressive farm just north of Hilo on the Hamakua Coast. Yes, this post is late as the festival is ending today. Next year (heh) will try to get in front of the game.
