I've covered here before the Sheraton Waikiki's ongoing renovations. So when a news release hit my box claiming the hotel had completed $55 million in room renovations, I thought it might be a good time to update with the good news. After all, mainstream pubs like LA Times were reporting it.But when I called the front desk, I learned that renovations have still not been completed below the sixth floor yet. And the Annex is still completely untouched. So when you are booking or checking in, keep this in mind and see if you can get in a word beforehand to make sure you nail down one of the renovated rooms. They are quite nice. The old rooms are not.
