This week the Hawaiirama call-out cocktail is hardly tropical in any real respect -- except that its a really lovely little libation and you can drink one in the Lobby Lounge of the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua,. The view, natch, is jaw-dropping. The barkeep, Michel Roy, is quite skillful. The drink is savory and lip-smacking. Skip desert and down this. Here's drinking on Maui, kid.

• 2 oz citron vodka


• Splash cointreau


• Caper berry juice (like a dirty martini)


• Shake but do not stir (yes, Mr. Bond)


• Pour into a chilled martini glass


• Garnish with a caper berry (NOT CAPERS)
