Hawaii Hotels: Hilton Reports Weakness in Hawaii Revenues -- Another Sign That Hawaii is Definitely On Sale

Where: Statewide || Grouped in: Statewide Hotels || Tagged:

I've blogged before about weakening occupancy levels in the Hawaiian Islands and how that would likely mean better deals on rooms. Yesterday Hilton Hotels posted quarterly earnings that were below expectations due, in large part, to weakness in its Hawaii properties. With two massive hotels in the islands, Hilton relies heavily on Hawaii for do re mi. So calling out Hawaii as a revenue-per-available-room laggard signals that bargains are definitely to be had in the islands. Of course, rack rates are not going to drop but you will see more killer promo deals like the "stay three, get one night free" deal at the Four Seasons properties on Lanai.. The upshot of all this? Keep an eye out this spring and summer for deals on Hawaii travel. They are definitely out there.
