Hawaii Hotels $100 Per Night Club: Cheap Deals on Paradise
Where: Statewide || Grouped in: Statewide Hotels || Tagged:
This is fairly clever. Voyager Travel is offering a promo on a handful of Hawaii hotels with rates running below $100 per night. Most people can't conceive that hotels in such an expensive place could be so cheap but they exist and some are definitely better than others. My take: Avoid the Pagoda (awful location), the Laie Inn Resort (a kinda sad property), Resort Quest Coconut Plaza (no ocean views, a long walk to the beach) and all the Hilo hotels (uggh -- stay at a small inn rather than these ugly ducklings). Do stay at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel (tremendous location on the far side of Waikiki), the Kauai Sands (right on a nice beach in Kapa'a/Wailua), and the Aqua properties (nicely redone, not great locations but very well executed). Also, skip the Maui Seaside Hotel. It's in Kahului, is noisy and not on a nice beach. You can do better on Maui. See you in paradise!
