Hawaii Travel Tips: Little Plane, Big Payoff
Where: Statewide || Grouped in: Statewide Nature || Tagged:
If you want to visit multiple islands in Hawaii, you generally take the plane. You can take a pretty big plane, a Boeing-type that flies above the clouds. Or you can take the little planes. Which really give you a two-for-one bang. On most flights around Hawaii, the little planes put you in the front row for amazing scenery that you miss in the big tin cans. Flights around Maui, Lanai and Molokai, in particular, reveal jaw-dropping vistas a plenty and unreal greens, blues and other color schemes visible only from above. Mokulele, Island Air, and Pacific Wings are the big fish in the small plane pond, with plenty of interisland flights. Prices generally are comparable to flying on jets. You also get to go to some of the more scenic airports such as Kapalua on Maui. Why pay extra for a sightseeing flight when you can build one into your existing itinerary
