That didn't take very long. A Maui court ordered the Hawaii Superferry to cease voyages in and out of Kahului at least until Wednesday when the court will hear arguments on whether the big boat can continue plying Hawaii waters without completing an environmental impact statement. Should this mean a more permanent stay on operations, the Superferry could be in for really tough sailing. The Kahului - Oahu Route would be the most popular and eliminating it would severely impact the ability of the Superferry to remain solvent. This ruling won't impact the Honolulu-Nawiliwili runs, apparently. Stay tuned.
