Back for more tidbits. Gail over at Hawaii Diner gives us a solid roundup of where she took out-of-town guests to eat including unexpected (Bobo's BBQ in Kaawa), the worse than expected (Elua) and the so-bad-but-still-gotta-do-it (Buzz's Steakhouse in Kailua). Chef Mavro's flagship nabbed accolades from Gayot's as one of the 40 best restos in the country. Word up on that. C-Lo and crew at Mixed Plate Lunch (the hardest working online pub in the islands) give the skinny on "Food for Thought" an environmentally friendly food trailer in Haleiwa on the North Shore (note -- most of the best food on the North Shore is cooked in food trailers -- dead serious). Honolulu Weekly tweaks and pans Wasabi, a newly reopened Japanese fusion joint that previously had only been visited by Japanese nationals.
