This is why I love Mixed Plate Special. Video food reviews. I know the Advertiser is doing video but they are mostly little snippets with no soul. The MPS crew is funky, irreverent and a lot of fun. I disagree with a lot of what they say but I enjoy it. Check this one out - a video review of Mac 24/7, the Hawaii take on the comfort food craze (and perhaps the best late night nosh in Waikiki). The pancakes are kinda scary looking -- just hope you don't drop it on your foot. Have heard they are muy ono, however. Along with the Kona lobster pot pie. The chick with the fried pink hair is a stitch.
