Barf Boat: Hawaii Superferry Is Super Queasy on Reopening Day

I don't know how better I can describe the situation on the Hawaii Superferry on its maiden re-voyage from Oahu to Kahului than Honolulu Advertiser writer Dan Nakaso.
"At least 25 passengers all over the Alakai were openly vomiting, said Superferry cabinet attendant Leeann Toro, who passed out barf bags as if they were candy on Halloween. One passenger in the Hahalua Lounge was in so much misery that he had to be carried and dragged off to a first-aid area to lie down, Toro said."
This was in conditions with high winds and waves that are considered typical for Hawaiian waters during the winter months. Gee, I thought it was going to be a smooth ride, cuz! Granted, Nakaso talked to some people who had a fine trip. But it sure sounds like an unpleasant cruise to me. I'm going to take pause before taking my family on Da Big Boat. In the meantime, new nicknames anyone? Da Vomit Comet is sorta kinda taken, I guess. Barf Boat is too crude. Superbadferry? Regardless, the $29 introductory rate is hardly cheap enough to get me on a hellride like this. Try paying me money instead.
