Best Dining on Maui: Maui No Ka Oi Mag's Aipono Awards

This pub serves as the hip city mag for the whole Valley Island (for the over 40s crowd, that is -- who else can afford Maui?). But I found its annual reader restaurant awards to be kinda off key. Not a lot new on the list -- David Paul's, Sansei, Gerard's. A few hidden gems -- Aloha Plate, Thai Chef in Lahaina. A lot of bad information (Vino, Kai, Banyan all closed now). But its better than shooting blind after you've landed, eh?
