So after Christa put a nice post on Hawaiirama seconding my call on RumFire, the new bar at the Sheraton Waikiki, I pinged her and asked where she was posting. Silly me. I had not realized she was one of the reigning nightlife and club scene blogging queens of the islands. Here's her blog. She goes all the places I would go if I were cloned and 10 years younger. Most excellent 411 on the Honolulu after-dark madness, who's where, where's up, and what to do with all our freetime in paradise (hint: cocktails, clubs, dancing, fun). Look for more of Christa's pointers in Hawaiirama going forward. Oh, and a P.S. on RumFire. I got down there on Monday for a tipple. High props to the deconstructed pina colada (frozen pineapple juice ice cubes, coconut foam, no frozen slushy junk). The fire pits are wicked cool. Oceanside. A new favorite drink spot. Call me a bar, cabkeeper.

Mos def for party, as long as I’m in town (I travel a bit for my day job). I might be kinda old (am pushing 40) but I promise to be civil. And I won’t bring my 2 year old. Header images — hmmm. I kinda like yours but might have a friend that can whip you up a different style. Let’s talk.

I’m the artist who made the fire pits for RumFire. They’re called “the Great Bowl O Fire” and if it’s okay, I’d just like to leave a link here so that anyone who’s interested knows where they can be sourced: http://www.johntunger.com.
I’m still trying to get some good photos of the installation at RumFire, so if you have any or know someone who does, I’d love to see them!
Thanks,
John
