Andy Kass over at the Kauai hiking blog does a great write-up of an excursion in to Kipu Kai, a totally untouched cluster of beaches hemmed in by mountains on a private ranch along Kauai's sunny South Coast. This is one of the places I've long hankered to sample in Hawaii and Andy inspired me a bit. Of course, you gotta paddle or hire a heli. Upside -- there is no such thing as a private beach in Hawaii (although access can be restricted). I love Andy's take on Kauai hiking so definitely browse other entries.
