LAT visits Chinatown and declares it now hip. A decent read with decent coverage. They missed, however, the newer restaurants and many of the good hangouts. No reference to Mei Sum for Dim Sum or Hank's for piano bar's or Soul de Cuba for mojitos and ropa vieja or InTo for really neat furnishing or Louis Pohl Gallery for really excellent local art or Red Elephant for live music...Yes, they got a lot of cool stuff in but there's a whole lot more to see, for real.
