Lotsa fallout from the sudden closure of Aloha Airlines. Experts are saying interisland airfares will likely rise. No doubt, considering that roughly 25-30% of the carrying capacity inventory has been ripped off the market. I managed to book a trip to Maui in late April for roughly $110 roundtrip but I expect it to go higher. Can you say Superferry? Second, looks like some Aloha ticket-holders will get nada for their stubs. Only if you purchased with cash or check, that is. In the meantime, don't expect great service from your travel agents right now. They are apparently swamped with fixing the huge mess the Aloha bankruptcy has left in its wake.
