AV%20Club%20Bath.JPGThese five handsome men are the AV Club of Honolulu, an art collective that has been doing interactive performance art events since 2006. And three of them are part of the great staff at the Academy Art Center at Linekona. Their latest—Robot Tea Party—happens at Windward Community College's Gallery ‘Iolani April 11 from 4 to 7pm. If you go, YOU get to make the art and trigger trippy soundtracks (done by the artists on Garage Band—don't miss the Fort Naks rap by honorary sixth member Mike Nakasone) by playing with a remote control car. How cool is that? Robot Tea Party is also a retrospective of the "products" that resulted from past AV Club events, such as "prints" made by McKinley High School students riding bikes with modified tires.

AV Club are, from left to right, printmaker and UH lecturer Duncan Dempster, bug artist and Linekona assistant curator of Outreach Programs Vince Hazen, Miniature Monuments to Empire mastermind Mat Kubo, Linekona instructor and maple syrup eater Michael Sweitzer, and Linekona studio manager and risotto master Alan Konishi.
