"Share Your Table is a splashy Web 2.0-ish site with slide shows, videos, recipes, and columns from Joan Namkoong and Wanda Adams, two of the big names in Hawaii food writing. It's clear they spent a good amount of money on this product, what with multi-media production. I am confused on the name, to be honest -- no reference to Hawaii at all. Some of the initial entries are very cool -- a feature that asks Roy Yamaguchi and Nobu Matushisa where they grind in Hawaii in the wee hours, a tour of Kaakaako with a noted local celeb chef. There's a nice historical overview of how Eddie Flores built his plate lunch empire. The content is still pretty thin and they definitely need more stories but this is a very nice asset to the local food scene. A shout out to Managing Editor Mari Taketa, my first ever boss in Hawaii and the first person I ever went to Alan Wong's with.
