More Obama Madness in Hawaii: Goes to Magic Island for Beach with Fam

Local media is reporting that Barack Obama took his family to Magic Island today for a dip and some sun. This is a pretty nice urban beach, also called Ala Moana Beach Park. Formerly overrun by homeless (the park, not the beach), it's come up a bit since then. The waters are nice and calm, the beach is fine, the views are not great but adequate and the whole thing is somewhat surreal in a more or less downtown ambiance. Trip Advisor ranks it as 68th of 153 Honolulu Attractions (with only two reviews, hardly a reliable ranking). Here's some decent information on the place from Hawaii Travel Newsletter.
