You can eat the view at Honu Seafood and the grinds are pretty good, too. Chef Mark Ellman, who’s been around Maui for quite some time and still operates the two Mala Wharf and Tavern eateries recently opened this seafood joint in an upstairs breathtaking oceanview space in Maui. A lot of the seafood appears not to be from Hawaii but there are plenty of opportunities to get your snorkel wet. The Brick-Oven Baked Big Island Abalone Sandwich with Local Boy sauce sounds positively decadent. And the local togarashi seard otado pea shoot salad is on the fresh and light side for a menu replete with mouth watering fried seafoods and melted cheese toting brick-oven pizzas. Whatever the case, book around sunset and you’ll be stoked.
